Young People for Health: Radom in a Good Mood

Intergenerational Meeting – Come Join Us Around the Table
There are moments when it is worth slowing down and simply spending time together: talking, listening and sharing experiences. Intergenerational meetings create exactly that kind of space, open to everyone regardless of age.
We are inviting you to our next event, where younger and older participants can meet, talk and spend time together in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
📅 20 August (Wednesday)🕒 3:00–5:00 PM📍 Kamienica Deskurów, Room 1.06ul. Rwańska 2 / Rynek 14, Radom

If you are looking for a welcoming place to spend an afternoon, meet new people and do something together, this event is for you.

See you there!
We Have Started Our Youth Workshops
The first meeting of our new youth group as part of the psychoeducation workshop series is behind us, and it was an intense and inspiring start.
Before moving on to topics such as emotions, communication and self-awareness, we focused on what matters most at the beginning: getting to know one another and creating a safe, open atmosphere. This is the foundation for meaningful work and personal growth.
During the session, we used simple yet engaging teamwork activities. Collaborative and creative exercises, including building a shared structure and taking part in team-building games, helped participants get to know one another, overcome initial barriers and feel more comfortable within the group.
Even at this early stage, we could see a great deal of openness, commitment and willingness to get involved. It gives us every reason to believe that we have a valuable journey ahead, filled with conversations, reflection and new skills.
If you would like to join this initiative, there is still an opportunity to do so. Recruitment for the second youth group is currently underway.
We welcome young people who want to better understand themselves, learn how to manage their emotions and spend time in a supportive environment that encourages personal growth.

Our First Workshops Are Underway – Starting with the Breath
We have reached an important milestone: we have launched a series of workshops for seniors as part of a project supported by the European Solidarity Corps.
This is just the beginning of a series of meetings that over the coming months will create space for conversation, learning and mutual support. We are delighted to begin this journey together with participants who brought openness and positive energy from the very first meeting.
During our first workshop, we focused on stress, something that affects us regardless of age. As part of the practical session, participants learned conscious breathing techniques that can help calm the body and manage tension in everyday situations.
These are simple tools that, when practised regularly, can genuinely support wellbeing and a sense of balance. This is exactly the kind of approach we want to promote: practical, accessible solutions that can be used in everyday life.
Thank you to everyone who took part for your presence, commitment and the atmosphere we created together.
More meetings and important topics are ahead.

Starting Our Journey Together – Meet the Project
Can experience and the energy of different generations come together around one important goal?
We believe they can, and that is where our project begins.
This is a space where we will share the activities, reflections and outcomes of “Young People for Health: Radom in a Good Mood.”
The project is carried out as part of the European Solidarity Corps and aims to support mental wellbeing while strengthening relationships between young people and seniors in the local community.
Why Is This Important to Us?
Because we increasingly see both young people and older adults facing loneliness, stress and limited access to appropriate support.
For some, it is the pressure, pace of life and everyday challenges. For others, it is social isolation and limited connection with the wider world.
Their experiences may be different, but the need for conversation, understanding and a sense of safety is shared.
That is why we created a project that brings these two worlds together.
Over the coming months, we will work with young people aged 14–19 and seniors aged 60+, creating a space for learning, conversation and mutual support.
Our plans include:
psychoeducation workshops focused on emotions, stress and relationships,
digital skills sessions for seniors,
intergenerational meetings designed to help participants understand one another better,
individual support sessions led by specialists.
But this is not only a project for participants.
It is also an initiative created by young volunteers who develop their skills, learn to work as a team and have a real impact on their local community.
On this blog, we will show what this process looks like from the inside. You will find stories from our activities, participant experiences, workshop insights and reflections that we hope will inspire you too.
If mental wellbeing, education and building stronger relationships between generations are important to you, stay with us.
This is only the beginning.

Project Overview
The project aims to improve mental wellbeing and strengthen the social integration of young people and seniors in Radom through educational, workshop-based and intergenerational activities.
Over the course of 12 months, we will support 30 young people aged 14–19 and 30 seniors aged 60+.
We believe that building relationships, developing emotional awareness and creating opportunities for conversation and cooperation between generations can have a real impact on quality of life and the mental wellbeing of the entire community.
Project Goals
Our goal is to create lasting, positive change in the areas of mental wellbeing and social integration through:
Increasing Mental Health Awareness
We organise educational campaigns, workshops and training sessions that help participants recognise signs of mental health difficulties and learn about available forms of support.
Improving Access to Psychological & Psychoeducational Support
We connect young people and seniors with professionals, helping them better understand their emotions and develop more effective ways of dealing with everyday challenges.
Reducing Social Isolation
Through integration activities, psychoeducation workshops and training in the use of new technologies, we work to prevent loneliness and social exclusion.
